〔Abstract〕 Objective To study the application of self-designed Cuisheng decoction in labor, mainly observe the second stage of labor time and postpartum blood loss in parturients. Methods A total of 100 parturients with vaginal delivery who visited Changde First Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from July 2020 to July 2021 were selected and randomly divided into an observation group and a control group, with 50 cases in each group. After the beginning of labor, the parturients in the observation group were given self-designed Cuisheng decoction on the basis of conventional Western medicine treatment, and the parturients in the control group were routinely treated with oxytocin. Evidence-based medicine techniques and methods were used to evaluate and analyze the clinical efficacy of the two groups of parturients. Results The second stage of labor time in the observation group was (28.66 ± 12.18) min, which was shorter than those in the control group (63.30 ± 20.90) min, and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). The postpartum blood loss 2 hours and 24 hours in the observation group were less than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05). Conclusion Compared with conventional oxytocin treatment, self-designed Cuisheng decoction combined with oxytocin has more obvious efficacy in shortening labor and preventing postpartum bleeding, and is safe and effective with fewer side effects.
